Tourism Ministry to find ways to make clusters of coral reef waters in northern Sarawak Lorcania as new tourism products to attract more foreign tourists fulfilling dreams large fish in there.

Political Secretary to the Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water, Datuk Sebastian Ting, said the move was necessary as more and more foreign tourists interested in fishing in the region that is rich with the big fish.
He said the ministry is working with Miri Fishing Club to organize more deep-sea fishing competition there.
"Since deep sea fishing competition organized by Miri Fishing Club six years ago, more and more anglers came to Miri to play in Lorcania. They include China, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Brunei and Peninsular.
"So, we want the ministry to find ways to promote this tourism products abroad," he said at the prize giving ceremony of International Deep Sea Fishing Competition Miri City 2012 at Boulevard Restaurant in Miri recently.
Sebastian said, especially in Miri waters Lorcania as famous as a paradise of anglers in the country and abroad.
"Miri waters so popular in Asia because of the rich resources such as grouper fish mega the focal point of anglers. Therefore, I suggest the Ministry of Tourism and Fishing Club Miri jointly organized this activity in a bigger scale in the near future," he said.

At the ceremony, he represented the Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water cum Miri MP, Datuk Peter Chin Fah Kui presented a check worth RM10, 000 to Miri Fishing Club.
A total of 90 anglers from Singapore, China, Brunei, the Peninsular and Sarawak, including Sibu, Bintulu, Kuching, Sarikei and Miri took part in the International Deep Sea Fishing Competition Miri City in 2012 which was held on 10 to May 13.
Johan holds a successful landing Nelson Ngu grouper weighing over 60 kilograms (kg) runners-up, Tek Ling Ling (grouper 28.84kg), while the third place, Tan Kim Kuan (amber jack 27.86kg). Nelson took home a cash prize of RM12, 000, a special prize of RM3, 000 as well as fishing equipment and a certificate.
Ling also receive RM6, 000 and Tan RM3, 000 with fishing equipment and a certificate. Gifts delivered Miri Mayor Lawrence Lai.
