PLANNING seven friends to fish in the vicinity of High Island, the waters of Tanjung Leman, Mersing finally reached on Friday, 15 April.
The two-day fishing trip to the waters that led Samsulazan Md Salleh, 39, together with his close friend Rudi Jani, 39, along with five other colleagues.
Once agreed, they boarded a chartered fishing boat with skipper anchored at RM900 and Yan and Wan which was already known for more than a year ago.
"We departed from Tanjung Leman jetty at about 8 am and take a two-hour journey into a unjam to find bait.
"Originally we planned to scoop squid because the original mission is to capture the bean fish (barracuda) and red, but no luck when squid does not appear in the waters of love of it,''he said.
However, not unexpectedly, a number of trevally fish that live at the apollo dikail using unjam give good fortune when it was used as bait drift struck high-grade fish such as mackerel, ketarap, Kaci, snapper and grouper in no time.
He said the ability of trevally that can live longer suitable to be used as bait to hunt high-grade fish, especially mackerel on a scale of 9 kg.
"I was shocked when I was struck by a trevally bait mackerel eight kilograms when half way to the bottom of Vessel Karam near High Island, which took two to three hours by boat fishermen.
"After that, my friends rod rotation, Rudi was struck by the bigger fish that weighs 12 pounds,''he said.
Meanwhile, Rudi admitted trip to Tanjung Leman waters bring good luck this time than four trips in the same location last year ended with the disappointment of strong waves tossed him against a frequently changed dramatically.

He said, fishing in the waters of Tanjung Leman does need some help besides the lucky few with a pool of skilled skipper as if the two factors was not in favor of anglers, it is targeted at very different results than expected.
Commenting on the atmosphere of night fishing, he said the current situation and the weather was good but the red fish that are targeted can not be found may not yet arrived for the season.
"Tekong finally confirmed that if the squid season came around early July, the sharp teeth of species including barracuda will come up with a lot," he said.

"I have no plans to take part but on that date is required to work while my other friends are having their commitment, so we will see, who will emerge winners," he concluded.
